GOD, PLEASE SAVE OUR CHILDREN
For twenty- four months I have been writing about the formation of City Light Coali- tion, Inc. and the events leading up to and including the 1997 Tony Evans
Crusade. But I now feel God’s urging to write about another issue, which, if ad- hered to, would solve enormous issues in our society.
I grew up in a family with a loving Father and Mother. Not only did they love me, they gave me good instruction, discipline, and set an admirable example for me. So after Gladys and I were married at a very young age and began to have children, the example of my parents made me feel that one of the most important decisions one would ever make in life, other than accept- ing Jesus into one’s own life, was the selec- tion of one’s mate.
Today, our society seems to be heading toward doing away with marriage com- pletely. If we could only go back in time to when the marriage bond was essential to parenting and was a vow that really was

ONE OF MY BIGGEST MIRACLES
My life has been full of miracles...especially where my Joe is concerned. I don’t know how to grade miracles. How do you know when you have just expe-
rienced the “best one”? Besides surviving many harrowing experiences during the Wild Weasel Fighter Pilot stint during the Viet Nam War, perhaps one of the big- gest miracles occurred right here in Saluda County, South Carolina. It happened the  rst week in October 2000. Joe was cel- ebrating the completion of building his Seawind amphibian airplane. We would be taking our  rst trip to a business meet- ing in Florida, but he needed to go  rst to Tuskegee Alabama Air Field...the place he had built it... to tweak a few minor problems on the Seawind.  e plan was that Joe would  y the Seawind to Tuske- gee while I drove our car to join up with him there; then the two of us would  y to Florida together. Having won the best homebuilt seaplane award at the Sun And Fun Experimental Air Show in Lake- land, Florida, Joe was eager to show o  his prized accomplishment to family and
