Mandy Medlock joined NAMI Mid- Carolina as Director of Operations in July 2011. Mandy’s dedication to NAMI began in 2003 when a close family member became ill and it was suggested she attend NAMI Family support meetings. Upon Mandy’s attendance at that first NAMI meeting, she was relieved to know, she was no longer fighting the battle against mental illness alone.
In addition to her career at NAMI Mid-Car- olina, Mandy is the mother of two teenagers,
Christopher and Ella. She is committed to a difficult fitness regimen and enjoys being chal- lenged on a regular basis. She is a board mem- ber of www.FAVOR-Midlands.org, which promotes long-term recovery from substance use disorders.
In 2013, Ms. Medlock was honored to be nominated for the Jefferson Award which is a prestigious national recognition system hon- oring community and public volunteerism in America.
