Stephen Manley has traveled from church to church week to week for more than 40 years.The Cross Style message has been more than a sermon, it has been his lifestyle. His 50 years of ministry has been for the development of the Cross Style School of Practical Ministry, where his message has reached believ- ers in 80 countries, translating his mes- sages in hundreds of languages.Dr. Manley rmly believes that ministry and teaching can and should not exist separate and apart from the church. Over the last 40 years he has discipled many new itinerant evangelists and welcome many new students to the Cross Style school. He ventured into ministry with the poor, the homeless, the addicted and even with the sex of- fenders. This new idea of a school of practical ministry had to be rede ned in light of his real world encounters.Establishing two churches in Lebanon, Tennessee to serve the needs of a di- verse population who desperately de- sired a closer, more intimate relation- ship with God and change in their lives.Starting with audio tapes, moving to cd’s and then dvd’s he shared the mes- sage with Christians worldwide. With the advent of the internet, computers, smart phone, podcasts, ash drives and a host of other innovations, ad hoc classes were organized by local minis- ters overseas. Schools were built and graduations were held.What started out as one man respond- ing to the call of God on his life became a mammoth international undertaking. In planning for the next twenty ve years, a more intentional approach is to be taken. To curate the instructional materials, students, graduates , interns and evangelists of the last fty years, new institutional methods are needed for the Cross Style Headquarters and the Cross Style School of Practical Min- istry.With this in mind, the plan is to pur- chase the campus of a mega-church to facilitate a Cross Style Church of 1100 members, hundreds of student interns from all over the United states, a radio and television studio, classroom and conference space with housing for students and faculty.We have identi ed a property in Leb- anon, Tennessee that meets all of our ministerial requirements for the next twenty ve years.
