CityLight Chief Development Officer January 31, 2013 Report
From the Desk of Reverend Ramon E. Balaguer Trujillo
January 30, 3013
* January prayer breakfast went as well as expected at the Saint Andrew Rd's Lizard's Thicket.
* We represented CityLight at the Cross Style Church & Ministries Conference where we also gave a report on our mission trip to Africa and an appeal for creating more CityLight prayer groups in Lebanon, TN and to the other out of state attendees.
* We continue to give away more of the 1,700 brand new bibles with a special segment in the back on Spiritual Fitness and some will be delivered to Cameroon in a couple of weeks with missionaries going there led by Rev. Tsangning.
* The CityLight's 16th Anniversary is coming soon and a committee to head that celebration would be good to start now. Of course other partners will be celebrating their anniversaries too (IE: Christ Central, FEC, ECC...)
* National and Global day of Prayers are coming up as well and what will our role be.
* Cross Style will have their usual conference and are expecting us to show up in big numbers considering we did not go last year.
* We were stretched to our limit, but had an awesome Men on the Wall retreat headed by a new leader Rob Buck and we had a baptism of a new member. Additionally, enjoyed the joint service with the EWoI and time with Joe & Gladys Grimaud.
* Fund raising is still a challenge, but God has provided.
* Our CityLight Columbia Facebook Page continues to grow in “Likes” and activities.
* Our new CityLight Worldwide web-site is fully functional and getting more and more activities.
* We will continue to represent CityLight at the BSA as I get ready to attend meeting to honor Bishop Redfern II amongst others with the Whitney M. Young Jr. Awards.
* Africa has a long laundry list of needs we purpose to meet, not to mention all the other countries seeking help in one way or another.
* New contacts are being made to help financially to support our ministry.
* Focused on the upcoming CityLight Prayer Breakfast which will be held at Christ Central as a more convenient and central place to meet…
* Please accept this as my resignation as Chief Development Officer. REBT.
