sities, from annoyance to irritation to rage, can make a big difference in our ability to take a step back and process this power- ful and complicated emotion. Then there is Greed, oh how does one control their avarice, cupidity, or covetousness, and the inordinate desire to possess wealth, goods, or objects of abstract value with the inten- tion to keep it for one’s self, far beyond the dictates of basic survival and comfort. One can be so focused on their desire to win the lottery without realizing how much this fatal distraction hinders our spiritual growth and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. These are subtle chains that invade our lives binding us and hindering our journey with Christ.
You must believe and affirm your faith in God, in order for demonic chains to be broken. It doesn’t matter whether the chains emanate from the past experiences or present circumstances. Every time we decide to turn it over to Jesus, there is an army rising up, just like the song says, to
help us break every chain. The chains of lack of faith, low self-esteem, rejection, depression, unforgiveness, untruthfulness, fornication, adultery, addiction, loneliness, discouragement, worry, jealousy and bro- ken marriages can all be broken. Freeing us to live in the liberty promised by the Bible, if we turn it over to Jesus. As I write this, it breaks my heart to know that so many people in the world today are hurt- ing with their lives in shambles, because of past and present chains. Ephesians 6:12- 13 teaches about spiritual warfare “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Jesus is our spiritual warfare.
