Love They Neighbor Memoriam
The family of the late James L. Bosket Jr. has established a “Love They Neighbor Memoriam” honoring the legacy of their be- loved husband, father, and grandfather.
The family granted the oversight of the pro- gram to his beloved Riverside Community Development Corporation. This program started this past Christmas. The family pur- chased clothing and etc. for a low wealth family of eight.
Bosket was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where he served for many years on the Deacon Board. He also work tirelessly for many hours as a member of the Concerned Citizens to develop Brooks & Roston Park on East End Street.
We applaud and appreciate the Bosket Fam- ily’s dedication to carry on Brother Bosket’s legacy.
God Bless. Brother Bosket’s family decided to imple-
ment this program to keep alive their loved one’s life commitment and compassion to others that was always demonstrated by ac- tion. Brother Bosket believed and breathed an “I am my brother’s keeper” life-style.
He was a Vietnam Army veteran, a commu- nity activist since 1968, worked faithfully for Black Improvement Association, which later changed its name to the Concerned Citizens Association, which sought to attack a more diverse membership.
One of the most appreciated pinnacles of Brother Bosket’s many works as helping to establish the non-profit organization River- side Community Development Corporation and purchasing our beloved Alma Mater, Riverside High and all of its property. He served as a board member until his Heavenly Transition.
We, as a family, as a community and the R.C.D.C organization are left with a fright- ening void that only God can fill. Brother
