Dr. Eddie Coakley
Dr. Eddie Coakley’s passion for God began at an early age. He grew up in a home with two wonderful parents who in- stilled an integrity and love for God in Him. Saved at an early age, he was baptized at 12 and by the age of16 he knew God had a special call on his life. He met his wife-to-be serving as an intern at Two Rivers Baptist Church in Nashville Tennessee. He attended Wheaton College where he earned a BA in Biblical and Theological Studies and then at- tended Southern Seminary where he received his Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministries. During this time Dr. Coakley served as Se- nior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of New Haven. After completing his degree he and his wife moved to Greenville where
he served as the senior pastor of Buncombe Road Baptist Church. This is also when they had their little girl Emma Grace and when Dr. Coakley began his mission work and partnership in India. This is also when he began attending South Eastern Theological Seminary where he earned his doctorate in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth. After serving in Greenville, Dr. Coakley was called to Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce where he currently serves as senior pastor. Dr. Coakley is on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Biblical Leadership, he is involved in numerous local and foreign ministries and has traveled to more than 30 countries. He loves our Lord and his life verse is John 3:30 “He must become greater I must become less”.
