address these problems in terms of young women, we know that there was a man involved, who was equally guilty, but who usually does not suffer the consequences.
I know one thing that can solve this di- lemma, but it cannot happen without the change of heart of a large number of people. That thing is to go back to the sanctity of marriage and a husband and wife raising a family. Both poverty and crime would go down. These things would happen, wheth- er it was a Christian revival that brought it about or for any other reason. The basis of Christian morality is the Bible. We know that when we accept Christ into our hearts, old things are passed away and all things become new. We become new creatures in Christ. We must have a societal change to make our society a better society, where our children are not led into temptations beyond
their ability or willingness to cope.
Since I have no other answer, I am in agreement with Dr. Nixon’s exhortation to surround the problem with prayer just as Joshua and the band of Israelites did at Jericho. Notice that when God brought the walls down, the people still had to go in and take the city. Prayers go unanswered because they are not prayed. God has given us promises that He will answer when we pray. (Matt 7: 7-8) In the meantime each of us who will, no matter what our past, must give our hearts to Christ, accept His forgiveness and sin no more.
