and said to the Lord, “Look, Lord! Here and now I give half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anybody out of anything, I will pay back four times the amount.” Jesus said to him, “Today salva- tion has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”
habiT 6:
Synergize
What does synergize mean? The combina- tion of two things is greater than the sum of its parts. Lets say you have a board that extends across a gap. It will hold 20 pounds before it breaks, but if we glue another iden- tical board on top of the first; the combina- tion may hold 50 pounds before it breaks, more than twice the amount of only one board. And how might that be applied by the Believer? Hebrews 10: 24-25 (NIV)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one an- other—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
habiT 7:
Sharpen The Saw
The previous Bible verse might also apply to sharpening the saw. Or we might say read- ing our Bibles and spending time in prayer certainly sharpens the saw. So does attend- ing church, or listening to good Christian ministry or reading good Christian litera- ture. 2 Peter 3:18: But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for-
ever.
Amen.
