lives inside the heart that drives the motives of man. Jesus pointed to these Pharisees and exposed their heart condition. He said that because they wanted to murder him, their father was the devil. The Pharisees had just asked Jesus who His father was...alluding that Jesus was illegitimate because of the circumstances surrounding His immaculate conception. (They of course did not believe in the virgin birth just as many do not today.) Worst of all, these men who wanted Jesus

Jesus told them, “You don’t know me nor My Father. If you had known me, you would have known My Father also, but you don’t know My Father and therefore are do- ing the deeds of your father.” (John 8: 39- 41) In other words, Jesus is saying, “Guys, you have lost your marbles...and are being controlled by the devil.” The Pharisees tried all kinds of manipulations to hush Jesus, be- cause His words have the power to change hearts...something they were very much

I found out later when I called in to Washington Journal that the press is agnostic and dismisses anything of a Christian nature. But this event! How could they have dismissed it when President Clinton was making trips to South Carolina to console black pastors over church burn- ings? The media dismissed it for the same reason that the Pharisees dismissed Jesus.
