As the Word says, without faith it is im- possible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Faith is to carry out the importance of factor- purpose. Faith is to fulfill God’s purpose for your life which you can experience true pros- perity. That’s why the devil works so hard to undermineourfaith. Wemusthavestrong faith in order to fulfill our divinely ordained purpose.
Enemy to Your Faith
One of the most powerful weapon against our faith is “Discouragement.” Discourage- ment is dissatisfaction with the past, distaste for the present, and distrust of the future. It is ingratitude for the blessings of yesterday, in- difference to the opportunities of today, and
insecurity regarding strength for tomorrow. It’s unawareness of the presence of beauty, unconcern from the needs of our fellowman, and unbelief in the promises of old. It’s impa- tience with time, immaturity of thought and impoliteness to God.
There’s a great example of this weapon shown in Nehemiah and those who were working alongside him to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.
