many worship services, and Benedict College
Black History month service.
Currently my husband and I lead the 8:00 am
praise and worship at Christ Central Colum-
bia under the leadership of Pastor Sylvia Mick-
ens. My first experience ministering a mime at
Christ Central was such a tremendous blessing
to me. I could feel the power of God heavy in
the atmosphere! We can be found at Finlay
Park on Sunday afternoons at 3:00 pm with
Pastor Oscar Gadsden and the Keep it Real
Ministry. We also fellowship at Alive Minis-
tries under the leadership of Pastor S. Clark
and first lady Mary Clark. At Alive Ministry
the spirit of God's love is always present and a
powerful word is always given.
I will continue to mime and teach others who
are interested in ministering the Gospel through
mime. Another goal that I have is to become a
Foster Parent. My desire is to work with youths
to give them the devotion and encouragement
that I did not receive earlier on in my life. I truly
believe I can make a difference in their lives by
providing them with motivation and showing
them the love of God. All it took for me was
experiencing the love of the Lord to change
all of those feelings and circumstances! Yes, I
responded to His Love and now I am moving
forward and my past is behind me!

in Murray-Wright High School's history to
go to the championship and receive three
consecutive All-City Medals. I finished high
school as the number one high school female
golfer in Detroit. The Lord used Golf to get
me out of Detroit!
During my college career I stayed very ac-
tive. I had the honor and privilege to be apart
of the number one collegiate gospel choir
in the world, "The Benedict College Gospel
Choir". While singing with the Choir I was
introduced to gospel miming. I began to grow
a deep passion for the ministry and build a
closer relationship with the Lord. I wanted
to be able to share this ministry that the Lord
gave me with everyone! While on the BCGC
Mime ministry we travel to New York, North
Carolina, Connecticut, and Georgia to mime.
When I mime I feel like the Lord is taking
full control over my body and it is a great
feeling! My vision for my mime ministry is
to create a citywide mime group and travel,
spreading the good news of Jesus the Christ.
On February 21, 2008, I received the tragic
news of my father's murder. When I received
the tragic news I felt the worse kind of pain
I have ever experienced. At my Dad's funeral
I mimed for the service. It was my way of
releasing my pain.
I was still determined to make my
mother and father proud by graduating
from College and furthering my career.
On December 13, 2008 I Graduated
Cum Laude from Benedict College
with a Bachelor of Social Work.
On July 17, 2009 my life changed
forever! I met my wonderful hus-
band, Mario Ravenell! God blessed
me with a wise and God fearing man.
On April 18, 2010 we got married
and currently reside in Columbia, SC.
Our union brought two beautiful step
children in my life who I love as my
own, Mario Jr. 11 and Mariya 6
I recently had the privilege to mime
at the Carolina Coliseum for the 21st
Annual Community Thanksgiving
Day Dinner for the homeless with an
audience of over 600. God has opened
doors for me to mime at pageants,
