Haman coerced King Xerxes to write an
edict that would annihilate the Jews in Per-
sia. God used Esther to expose Haman's
wicked plot, and he and his sons died upon
the very gallows he designed for Mordecai.
Many centuries later, King Herod, from
Idumaea, the Edom of the Hebrew Bible,
ruled Judea from 37 B.C. to 4 A. D. The
Bible says he initiated a murder of all the
infants in Bethlehem in an attempt to get
rid of the baby Jesus. Jesus lived. Herod
died a horrible death
eaten up by worms
and his kingdom
fell. Again, centu-
ries later, World War
II was the deadliest
military conflict in
history with over
60 million people
killed, 2.5% of the
world population at
that time. Out of
the 7.3 million Jews
in German occupied
Europe, Hitler mur-
dered 5.7 million
or 78% of the Jews.
Hitler committed
suicide and his kingdom fell.
How long can a nation endure when the edict
of the land is to annihilate a certain group of
people? As I write these words, there have
been 57 million innocents slaughtered in
America. In this holocaust of the unborn,
lives have been annihilated that would have
been living productively...mothers, fathers...
doctors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, teachers, min-
isters. Think how differently the economy of
America would have been if these citizens of
America, who would have been paying taxes,
had been allowed to live. America does not
have an economic problem...it has a moral
crisis of political correctness.
Esther arose from obscurity to become the
Queen of King Xerxes of Persia, who ruled
the world from India to Ethiopia. The capi-
tals and palaces of the Persian Empire were
located in what is now Iran, a part of Meso-
potamia, the cradle of civilization. Iran, often
in the news today, is a country about one-fifth
the size of the United States. Its population
is 75,000,000, according to a book published
in Tehran in 2005, Iran, Land and People.
Approximately four-tenths of one percent of
the people are Christian. Over 70% of the
population is under 30 years of age, and while
there are several minority ethnic groups in
Iran, most of the people are Persian. They
speak Farsi. They are
not Arabs. Iran has
been ruled by Shi-
ite (Islamic) radicals
since the revolution
of 1979 which result-
ed in the overthrow
of the Shah. As of
this writing, Iran is
the only Islamic na-
tion ruled by Islamic
religious leaders, de-
termined to destroy
Israel and America.
Despite that, hun-
dreds of younger
Iranians are coming
to Christ. The un-
derground church movement is growing.
Queen Esther planted the seeds of Chris-
tianity long before Christ was born because
she interceded for the Jews in the courts of
King Xerxes in Iran.
Have you ever asked yourself, "What has
gone wrong in America and how can it be
fixed?" God is the same yesterday, today, and
forever. The only question I need to answer
is this: "Will I allow Him to work through
me as He did through Esther?" Catalysts can
change the world, and when there are more
catalysts of change for good than there are
for evil, we will have a new world order
created by God and not by man.
Called to Save a Nation

When a nation
chooses to ignore
God's instructions
for righteousness,
that nation will
always decline
in freedom and
blessings.
