Rev. Mickens has been a devoted servant
of God for more than 20 years. In 1985
Rev. Mickens and his family moved to
High Point, North Carolina and became
members of Word of Reconciliation
Ministries under the leadership of Pastor
Quinton Boger. Rev Mickens later became
Assistant Pastor. In 1991 he and his fam-
ily returned to South Carolina where Rev.
Mickens attended Holy Tabernacle Holi-
ness Church as an associate
Minister under the leadership of his
mother, Pastor Hattie M. Mickens. He is
currently an associate Minister at Unity
Missionary Baptist Church under the
leadership of Pastor Sonny Bridges.
In 2002 Rev. Mickens received a bachelors
degree in Biblical Studies from The Over-
coming Outreach School of Religion. Dur-
ing his tenure there, he was also licensed as
a Marriage Counselor.
Rev. Mickens is a strongly believes in the
youth of today. He is always encouraging
the youth to focus on God and put Him
first and everything else will be added from
God. Rev. Mickens has two mottos, "Only
what you do for Christ will last" and "I'm
gonna keep on loving you and there's noth-
ing you can do about it."
Rev. Mickens is married to the former
Norma Jean Bolton. This God ordained
union has been blessed with the births of
five children, three sons and two daughters.
The twosome has also been blessed with
eight precious grandchildren.
