From My Bottom & My Heart
F
or as long as I can remember, my Dad and
my Mom have always taken very good
care of me. When I'm hungry they feed me,
when I soil my pamper, they immediately
clean me up and put a fresh one on me, and it
sure does feel good. Both my Dad and Mom
work, and my Dad even goes to school, but
when they are home they spend a lot of time
playing with me, kissing me and loving me.
A few weeks ago I noticed that I was not get-
ting changed as often, and my parents seemed
to be concerned about other things that I re-
ally didn't understand. Then one day, a cou-
ple of weeks ago, we were all riding and we
stopped to this place
called Christ Cen-
tral Columbia. Now
I know about Christ
Central because my
parents go there on
Sunday mornings to
sing songs and serve
people food. I re-
ally do love that music
they have on Sunday
mornings. I wondered
why we were going to
Christ Central on a
week day. I will always
remember that day
because it had been
several hours since my
Mom had changed my
pamper, and my bot-
tom was feeling really
uncomfortable.
My Dad stayed in the car with me and my
Mom went inside, and I was just wondering
what was happening. After a little while my
Mom came out with a box and the biggest
smile I have ever seen on her face. I looked
over at my Dad and he was smiling. My Mom
took me out of my car seat and changed my
diaper and I started smiling too. I heard my
Mom say to my Dad, "Honey, God is good
and greatly to be praised."
As I listened to my parents talking in the car
that day, I found out that my Mom had put
my last pamper on me that morning. I also
found out that when my Dad is not home at
night, it is because he is working on another
job to make sure our family has a place to stay
with food for us and milk and pampers for me.
That day they were going to Christ Central to
ask Pastor Sylvia if she could refer them to a
place that helped families with pampers. They
didn't know that Christ Central Columbia had
a "Pampering Love Ministry," where they help
families with pampers, wipes and other baby
items that have been donated. I don't know
who thought of the idea of putting away baby
things for babies, but they sure are smart.
I didn't pray for pam-
pers that day, but I sure
got to benefit from
my Dad and Mom's
prayers. I don't even
understand about this
prayer thing and how
it works, but from now
on I will be doing the
prayer thing.
My Dad got paid, I have
2 big boxes of pampers
in the corner now and
my parents are still talk-
ing about how God an-
swered prayer that day.
They are smiling more
and I love them more.
I just want to say to
Christ Central Colum-
bia and all the donors,
thank you, from my bottom and my heart.
